Girls have stretch marks and acne scars,
they have uneven skin and
moles and pimples,
they have stringy hair and crooked teeth,
they have
squishy tummies,
bony fingers,
and morning breath.
Their eyebrows aren’t
always going to be even
and they won’t always be smiling.
Because girls aren’t pretty.
They’re intricate,
Like art,
To be understood,
even in the slightest,
they must be explored and pondered over.
Like your favorite song you’ll
always find something,
you never noticed before,
and you will love it.
So if you’re expecting a girl to be pretty,
sorry to disappoint you.
Why don’t you go hit on some flowers instead.
